Arun Thai Cooking School - Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 2025

1. Business Overview

Arun Thai Cooking School, located in Bangkok, Thailand, offers immersive Thai culinary experiences, including market tours, themed classes, and cultural enrichment sessions. We cater to both tourists and participants applying under Thailand's Destination Thailand Visa (DTV). Classes are conducted in English and may be booked directly or through approved third-party partners such as visa agents and travel agencies.

2. Program Participation

  • Participants must be at least 6 years old to join cooking classes.

  • Classes involve the use of kitchen tools, heat, and ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.

  • Students participate at their own risk and must follow instructor guidelines at all times.

Each program allows flexible scheduling: missed classes for the 6-month course may be rescheduled within 1 year of the original program start date, and for the 12-month course within 2 years, subject to availability.

6. Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling is permitted with at least 7 days' advance notice for DTV courses.

  • Rescheduled classes must occur within 1 year of the original start date for the 6-month course, and within 2 years for the 12-month course.

  • Missed classes without prior notice will not be refunded or rescheduled.

7. Enrollment Validity and Start Date Policy

  • Once an Enrollment Letter has been issued, it becomes an official document tied to a specific start date. This letter is used for visa submission under Thailand’s Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) program and represents completion of the first stage of service delivery.

7.1 Validity Period

  • The Enrollment Letter is intended to be used for visa application within 90 days from the date of issuance.

  • If the applicant does not submit their visa application within this period, embassy requirements may change, and a new Enrollment Letter may be required.

  • Requests for new or updated letters after this period are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may incur an administrative re-issuance fee.

7.2 Class Scheduling and Follow-Up

  • After visa approval or upon arrival in Thailand, students must contact the school to arrange their monthly class schedule.

  • Students remain eligible to attend classes within the standard flexibility period—1 year for the 6-month program and 2 years for the 12-month program—as long as their visa remains valid.

7.3 Changes After Visa Application or Approval

  • After a visa application has been submitted or approved, the start date and documents issued are considered final.

  • Requests to alter or re-date the Enrollment Letter after visa approval cannot be accommodated, as the program dates have already been confirmed for immigration and internal scheduling purposes.

7.4 No-Show or Extended Delay After Visa Approval

  • Students who have an approved visa but do not contact the school within 60 days of their visa start date may lose their original placement in the program schedule.

  • In such cases, future attendance or rescheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on class availability.

  • The school will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the student where possible, but continuation of enrollment cannot be guaranteed without timely communication.

7.5 Exceptions

  • Exceptions may be considered in verified cases such as embassy processing delays, rejected visa applications, or medical emergencies, subject to written proof and school approval.

8. Partner Responsibility (Visa Agents & Tour Agencies)

  • All partners must be formally registered and approved by Arun Thai Cooking School.

  • Partners must agree in writing to follow our policies and use only the official information and documents provided by us.
